A woman whose body was found Sunday inside Rockwood Park has been identified as Ryan Major Rice of Fort Worth.

Rice, 29, died from multiple gunshot wounds, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office revealed on their website Wednesday.

Police were dispatched to the park, located off Texas 199, north of University Drive, shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday after a concerned citizen spotted the body and called police.

Police declined to release the location of Rice’s body inside the park or other details about the discovery.

Anyone with information about her slaying is asked to call Homicide Detective W.D. Paine at 817-392-4341 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477) or 469tips.com.
