The UT Arlington basketball team plays its final nonconference road game of the season as it looks to upset a quality Oklahoma squad at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla.Powered by Brandon Edwards’ 31-point game, the Mavericks finally completed a comeback against Houston Baptist on Saturday. In all but one of their losses, they’ve fallen behind at halftime and stormed back, only to fall short.UTA hopes to get out to a stronger start against the Sooners, who have gotten off to a tremendous start this season. They’re 9-1 with their only loss coming to No. 5 Michigan State in November. Cameron Clark leads the way with 17.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-7 guard poses a matchup problem for the Mavericks’ defense.UTA counters with Edwards, who’s averaging a double-double (19.7 points, 10.2 rebounds per game) this season.
