It has been nine days since TCU played a game and nearly a month since the Horned Frogs have played at home.

That all changes when the Frogs begin a six-game homestand at 1 p.m. Sunday against UT Pan American.

By the time TCU goes on the road again on Jan. 11, it will be three games into its Big 12 schedule.

When last seen, the Frogs were taking a gutsy 10-point victory at Mississippi State, despite playing without Amric Fields and Hudson Price.

Price should be available Sunday after returning to practice last week. He missed time because of an illness.

Fields is still several weeks away from recovering from a broken left hand.

Coach Trent Johnson hopes to see some of the toughness and poise his team has displayed on the road show up at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum where the Frogs are 1-1.

“We have to do a better job of competing and playing well at home,” Johnson said. “Our effort and our energy seem like night and day when we’re on the road compared with at home.”

The Broncs are led by guard Javorn Farrell, who is scoring 16.4 points a game. He had 16 points in UTPA’s 72-65 loss to UT San Antonio on Dec. 7.
