Police are searching for two men who cleaned up at separate Haltom City car washes early Nov. 24, breaking into coin boxes and even stealing wands and brushes from the car wash bays.

The thieves struck between 7 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. in the 4600 and 4900 blocks of Western Center Boulevard, police said in a news release.

Surveillance cameras caught the men first trying unsuccessfully to break into vending machines. They then broke into coin boxes in the bays and the vacuum cleaners and grabbed wands and brushes before making a clean getaway in a dark-colored car, possibly a Nissan.

One of the men wore a hoodie, and the other wore a dark-colored jacket and cap, police said.

Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call Haltom City police at 817-222-7000.
