All school districts and nonessential federal, state, county and municipal offices and courts will be closed, as well as banks, the stock markets and the Postal Service.

The Fort Worth Transportation Authority will not operate buses or the Trinity Railway Express. But the T will operate the Cowboys Coaches shuttle service to AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Buses will begin leaving the Vickery Park & Ride parking lot, 200 W. Vickery St., about 1:30 p.m., two hours before kickoff of the game against the Oakland Raiders. Fare is $5 cash per car to park in the lot and $10 cash per person for the round-trip bus ride.

Trash pickup

No trash will be picked up anywhere Thursday. After that, schedules vary by city. For those not listed, check the city’s website.

Arlington, Colleyville, Keller, Mansfield: no makeup day. Service will resume on the next scheduled collection day.

Bedford, Euless, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Hurst, North Richland Hills, Southlake: Thursday pickups shift to Friday and Friday pickups to Saturday.

Federal offices will be open, but school districts and most nonessential state, county and municipal offices will remain closed.

The T will run a regular bus schedule, but the TRE will operate on a modified Saturday schedule with a westbound game train from American Airlines Center after the Dallas Stars hockey game that evening.

Those interested in attending the Parade of Lights in downtown Fort Worth, which begins at 6 p.m., can ride the T buses for free after 4 p.m. Buses run until 11 p.m.
