Senior quarterback Tevin Muse accounted for four touchdowns and 222 yards of total offense and Mansfield Timberview knocked off Killeen Shoemaker 28-14 on Saturday night at Floyd Casey Stadium.

Timberview advances to meet Euless Trinity at 5 p.m. Saturday in a Class 5A Division I area playoff game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

In addition to Timberview’s offensive firepower, the defense swarmed and harassed Shoemaker all night.

“They are really explosive offensively, but our defense has been playing well all year.” Timberview coach James Brown said. “We feel like if we can keep the score in the mid- to low-20s, we can give ourselves a chance to win,”

Timberview (8-3) opened the scoring on the first series as Muse scored on a 3-yard run for a 7-0 lead. On the drive, the Wolves converted three fourth downs, including Muse’s touchdown which came on fourth-and-goal. Shoemaker (7-4) answered later in the quarter when senior quarterback Ziere Banner scored from 11 yards out to tie the game up at 7.

Timberview opened its lead in the second quarter when Muse hit Myron Gailliard for 63 yards and a score for a 14-7 lead. Muse added a 10-yard TD run before halftime, then threw to Jaylon Loftis, who went 42 yards in the third quarter for a 28-7 lead.
