There were many great high school football peformances for Week 9. Here’s your chance to tell us who has earned dfwVarsity Player of the Week honors. Voting ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Fort Worth Wyatt RB Javonte Adams set a city single-game record by rushing for 389 yards (with 5 touchdowns) in the Chaparals’ 61-48 win over Fort Worth Western Hills. He carrie dthe ball just 16 times.

Mansfield Summit K Ryan Rodriguez made a 19-yard field goal with seven seconds left Friday to beat Lancaster 29-27 and clinch a Class 4A playoff spot for the Jaguars. He also made 23- and 35-yard field goals.

Saginaw Boswell WR Scott Moody, in Pioneers 60-6 win against Saginaw Chisholm Trail, had touchdown catches of 22 and 15 yards, returned a punt 57 yards for a TD, and retruned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown. He did this all in the first half.

All Saints QB Foster Sawyer passed for 308 yards and 5 TDs in the Saints in a 42-7 defeat of Houston Christan that gave the Saints a second straight SPC small school championship.

Richland LB Hayden Davidson recorded 15 tackles (8 solo), 4 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 4 QB pressures, caused 2 fumbles, recovered 1 fumbles, and made a stop for a safety, in the Rebels 30-23 defeat of Keller.
