About the Wizards: They dropped a heartbreaker to the Thunder, 106-105 in overtime, on Sunday in Oklahoma City. ... Since his injury-riddled year last season, the Wizards are 5-28 when guard John Wall doesn’t play and 24-25 when he does. ... Going into this season, Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, Chris Paul and Wall were the only players who averaged 16 points, eight assists and four rebounds for their careers. Wall contributed 17 points, 14 assists and six rebounds during a 112-108 overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. ... Bradley Beal poured in a career-high 34 points, including six 3-pointers, in Sunday’s loss to OKC. He also had 29 points against the Nets.

About the Mavericks: They are 3-0 at home this season with wins over Atlanta, Memphis and the Los Angeles Lakers. ... Dirk Nowitzki has 25,178 career points and needs 15 more to pass Jerry West for 16th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. ... Jose Calderon needs five assists to reach 4,000 for his career. ... Samuel Dalembert has collected nine rebounds in three games this season and is shooting 56.4 percent from the field. ... The Mavs have won 17 of the past 22 meetings with the Wizards, including the past six.
