A 28-year-old man with Asperger syndrome is missing from his Bedford home after he apparently walked away over the weekend, police said Monday.

Bedford police identified the man as Luis “Luigi” Araud. He was last seen about 2 p.m. Saturday walking his dogs in the 2500 block of Cottonwood Lane in Bedford, police said.

Investigators say they believe he voluntarily left his home after getting into an argument with his parents.

Asperger syndrome is an autism spectrum disorder characterized by social impairment and communication difficulties, among other things, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Police described Araud as about 6 feet tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be wearing a large black, red and white parka.

Anyone with information should call Bedfod police at 817-952-2127.
