A 35-year-old registered sex offender is behind bars after being accused of secretly taking video of two teens inside his former Fort Worth residence.

Mark Daniel York was arrested Wednesday on two warrants accusing him of improper photography or visual recording, a felony. He was released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond on each case.

York is accused of using video equipment to record two females at his former Fort Worth residence without their consent, according to Sgt. Kelly Peel, a police spokesman. Peel said the alleged teen victims are 17 and over.

Police had begun investigating the case in February, Peel said.

York moved from Fort Worth and currently resides in Bowie, sex offender registration and court records show.

State records show York is required to register for life as a sex offender stemming from a 2003 conviction of sexual assault of a child out of Montague County. York was sentenced to five years in prison for assaulting a 14-year-old girl, the records show.
