November 6

Listener’s Story Time

Ages 3-5 are invited to Listener’s Story Time at 10:30 a.m. at the Mansfield Public Library, 104 S. Wisteria St. Admission is free.

College and Career Night

The Mansfield school district will host College and Career Night from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Center for Performing Arts, 1110 W. Debbie Lane. High school students and their parents are encouraged to attend to speak with representatives from colleges, technical schools and the military.

November 7

Bilingual Story Time

Children ages 3-5, English and Spanish speakers, are invited to Bilingual Story Time at 10:30 a.m. at the Mansfield Public Library, 104 S. Wisteria St. Admission is free.

Women’s luncheon

The Mansfield Women’s Club Luncheon meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Walnut Creek Country Club, 1188 Country Club Drive. Admission is $20. Program will be an entertainment mix by Michael Hix. For more information, call Becky Hearne at (817) 228-9169.

Live music

Hang out with Scott & Steve from 6-10 p.m. at Steven’s Garden & Grill, 223 Depot St.

Antique tool exhibit

The Mansfield Historical Museum will host an antique tool exhibit from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., featuring the collections of Vern Raven, Dr. Bobby Hart and Rex Wenger. All three men will be on hand to give information about the tools, which range from the 1840s to the 1940s. The museum is located at 102 N. Main St.

Christmas assistance

Bethlehem Baptist Church will register families for Christmas assistance from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 1188 W. Broad St. Parents must show photo ID, proof of residence, proof of income, birth certificates and Social Security cards for each child. For more information, call (817) 473-1236.

November 10

Dallas Symphony

The Dallas Symphony will perform at 2:30 p.m. at the Center for Performing Arts, 1110 W. Debbie Lane. Tickets are $25, and benefit the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation.

November 11

Veterans Day

City Council meeting

The Mansfield City Council will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St. Meetings are open to the public. The meetings are also broadcast on Charter Communications channel 27. For more information, call (817) 276-4200.

November 12

Veterans concert

The Mansfield High School will perform a tribute for veterans from 7-9 p.m. at the Center for Performing Arts, 1110 W. Debbie Lane. The concert is free and everyone is invited.

Story Time for Tots

Infants through age 3 and their parents or caregivers are invited to Story Time for Tots at 10:30 a.m. at the Mansfield Public Library, 104 S. Wisteria St. Admission is free.

Preschool craft party

Take your 2- to 5-year-old and create some holiday crafts and enjoy tasty treats at 9:30 a.m. at the Mansfield Activities Center, 106 S. Wisteria St. Cost is $5 per child or $4 for children with a current MAC card. Parents are free, but required to attend.

Early release

Students in the Mansfield school district will have early release. Elementary school students will attend from 8 a.m.-noon, intermediate students from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., middle school from 8:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. and high school from 7:25-11:25 a.m. For more information, go to www.mansfieldisd.org.
