Lakers at Mavericks

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, American Airlines Center, Dallas

TV: FSSW, NBA TV

Radio: ESPN/103.3 FM, KFLC/1270 AM (Spanish)

Records: Lakers 2-2; Mavericks 2-1

About the Lakers: Now that they’re without their leader and undisputed superstar, Kobe Bryant, who is out indefinitely with a torn left Achilles’ tendon, the Lakers don’t even resemble their old selves. ... Pau Gasol hit two free throws with 6 seconds left to break a tie and lead the Lakers to a 105-103 victory over Atlanta on Sunday. ... Gasol leads the Lakers in scoring (15.8) and rebounding (9.8), and Xavier Henry averages 14.3 ppg. ... Guards Jodie Meeks (11.5 ppg) and Jordan Farmar (10 ppg) have made impacts off the bench. Ex-Mavs C Chris Kaman had 10 points and five rebounds in 16 minutes against the Hawks.

About the Mavs: This is the finale of a two-game homestand for the Mavs, who defeated Memphis 111-99 on Saturday. ... Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 24 point against the Grizzlies. He has scored at least 20 points in all three games, after scoring 20-plus points three games in a row only twice last season. ... This is the first leg of a back-to-back for Dallas, which lost the first game of a back-to-back Friday at Houston 113-105. ... Shawn Marion (21 points, 14 rebounds, two blocks) was solid against Memphis at both ends of the court.
