About the Stars: Tyler Seguin, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, returns to TD Garden to face his former team for the first time since being traded with Rich Peverley in July by the Bruins. ... Rookie right wing Valeri Nichushkin, the 10th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, scored his first NHL goal Sunday, 30 seconds into the second period against Ottawa. The Stars won 4-3 in a shootout with Jamie Benn scoring the only shootout goal. ... Goalie Kari Lehtonen is 5-2-2 this season and ranks sixth in the NHL in goals-against average (1.94).
