Hang glider pilot seriously injured in Cleburne crash

A 51-year-old Granbury man was seriously injured when a powered hang glider he was piloting crashed into a pasture in Cleburne, a police official said.

The pilot, who was not identified, was taken by helicopter ambulance Saturday afternoon to a Fort Worth hospital with serious injuries, according to a news release from the Cleburne Police Department. His condition was unavailable Sunday.

The crash was reported shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West Vaughan Road in Cleburne.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and Federal Aviation Administration were alerted to the crash.

DPS troopers are investigating the accident.
