Arlington Martin will attempt to reinstate three forfeited football games Tuesday at a UIL State Executive Committee hearing in Austin.

Martin was forced to vacate three district wins Wednesday after a player was ruled ineligible by the District 3-5A Executive Committee.

Martin forfeited district wins over Weatherford, Fort Worth Paschal and North Crowley. The Warriors beat Arlington Sam Houston 52-13 on Thursday, making their record 2-4 in District 3-5A and 4-5 overall.

The ineligible player had transferred from Arlington High to Arlington Martin after the start of classes in August. Martin coach Bob Wager and Arlington coach Scott Peach were reprimanded by the committee for improper handling of the player’s transfer paperwork, called a Previous Athletic Participation Form.

Wager is in his eighth season at the helm of the Warriors and has led Martin to the playoffs in all seven previous seasons.
