TCU senior Sanna Nuutinen shot a school-record 64 to highlight the second round of the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio.

With her 8-under-par round, Nuutinen broke TCU’s previous mark of 65 set by Brooke Beeler at the 2011 Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla.

The Frogs shot a 285, the fifth-best round in school history. They are in seventh place with a 574, 12 strokes behind Arkansas.

Nuutinen recorded eight birdies and shot par on the other 10 holes. She had three consecutive birdies on the back nine and four on her final seven holes.

Alexandra Bonetti and Alex White both shot 73s for TCU and are tied for 26th at 1-over 145.

UTA golfers ninth

UT Arlington shot a 5-over 715 and is in ninth place after the second round of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas.

Three Mavericks are in the top 40. Jake Argento is tied for 15th at 2 under. Brad Mason and Josh Radcliff are tied for 37th at 1 over.

Oklahoma State leads with a 689.

Briefly

• Arkansas football: Coach Bret Bielema filed a complaint with the Southeastern Conference about a video that he said painted a less-than-complete picture of Auburn’s plays. Bielema said the video didn’t match the television version and show everything Auburn was doing before running plays. The teams play Saturday night in Fayetteville, Ark.

• Purdue basketball: Center A.J. Hammons was suspended for three games for violating team rules. Hammons will miss two exhibition games and Purdue’s regular-season opener Nov. 8 against Northern Kentucky. Coach Matt Painter declined to elaborate on what rules were broken, other than the suspension for the 7-footer was related to “conduct” and not academics or legal trouble.

• UTEP football: Quarterback Jameill Showers won’t play in his return to Texas A&M after injuring his right shoulder in a loss to Rice. Showers lost a battle for the Texas A&M starting job the preseason before Johnny Manziel became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy.
