A 43-year-old Fort Worth man was killed early Sunday in a rollover wreck on Boat Club Road, police said.

Officer Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman, said the man was driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler north in the 9500 block of Boat Club Road about 3:30 a.m. when the vehicle struck a guardrail and rolled over in the grass.

A passing motorist reported the overturned Jeep to police dispatchers but did not remain on the scene, she said.

An Eagle Mountain ambulance and Fort Worth firefighters responded. Firefighters extricated the driver but he was pronounced dead at the scene, Neal said.

On Monday, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the driver as Jose Munoz.
