Stephanie Mangels has been hired as principal of Carroll Middle School.

Mangels replaces former principal Matt Miller who now serves as the district’s assistant superintendent for administrative services.

She has been an assistant principal at the school for six years. Mangels, a former middle school math teacher, has worked in public education for 19 years.

Mangels started her principal duties on Oct. 22. She said she’s happy to be able to become a principal at the school she’s worked in for years.

“The staff here is really like a family,” she said. “We have a great staff who really and truly understand middle school kids.”
