KENNEDALE — Kennedale racked up 487 total yards, trouncing Fort Worth Castleberry 65-13 in a District 6-3A game Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.
The victory keeps Kennedale undefeated in district play and in the mix for the league crown.
Kennedale (4-4, 3-0 District6-3A) was carried by its running game as the Wildcats rushed for 278 yards in the first half.
Juwan Washington (11 carries, 187 yards), Donny Darville (eight carries, 105 yards) and Bradon Hull (four carries, 104 yards) led the potent rushing attack for the Wildcats, who accrued all of their yards on the ground. Washington scored five touchdowns.
Castleberry (3-5, 1-2) had little offense to match its opponent. The Lions were led by senior workhorse Alex Scallion, who rushed for for 166 yards on 21 carries. Sophomore Cody Shelton contributed 80 rushing yards in the loss for the Lions.
