Two men were wounded in shootings that were reported nearly an hour apart Thursday afternoon in east Fort Worth.

Police said the incidents appeared to be related.

The first shooting was reported at 4:27 p.m. in the 5000 block of Avenue G. The second shooting was reported at 5:16 p.m. in the 3700 block of Avenue N, police records show.

The addresses are about two miles apart.

Both men were taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, said Matt Zavadsky, MedStar spokesman.

The first victim, age 19, was shot in the face and listed in critical condition.

The other man, 22, also was listed in critical condition with two gunshot wounds to the back, police said. This man is believed to be “the alleged actor in the original shooting,” according to information from Capt. Charles Ramirez, police spokesman.

It was unclear late Thursday what lead to the shootings.
