Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings made an appearance at the Fort Worth City Council on Tuesday, but it wasn’t to talk business.

It was to settle a bet.

Rawlings hand-delivered Pecan Lodge barbecue after losing a friendly wager to Mayor Betsy Price on the TCU-SMU football game last month. TCU won 48-17.

“It is with great humility that I admit that the TCU football team is better than SMU,” Rawlings joked as he handed over boxes of ribs, chicken, sausage and green beans.

If Price had lost, she promised to bring food from Joe T. Garcia’s to the Dallas City Council.
