LAKE WORTH — Lake Worth spread the wealth around in a 60-7 win over Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis as both teams opened District 6-3A play Friday at Kittrell Stadium.
At halftime, the Bullfrogs (4-2, 1-0) led, 33-0. Eight players scored nine touchdowns by the end of the game, but quarterback Kelton Versey was involved in three of them.
Versey, who complete 7 of 9 passes for 167 yards, scored on a 5-yard run to make the score 14-0. He then added a 30-yard touchdown pass to Christian Flores to make the score 28-0. He capped off his night with a 33-yard touchdown run to open the second half.
Diamond Hill-Jarvis (0-6, 0-1) managed five first downs before halftime, but was held to only 74 yards of total offense in that time frame.
Tim Robinson scored Diamond Hill-Jarvis’ only touchdown on a 62-yard run early in the second half. He finished with 18 carries for 107 yards.
