Arlington Seguin edges Lancaster

Arlington Seguin quarterback Kelton Moore scored a touchdown with 31 seconds left in the game Friday to give the Cougars a 48-42 victory over Lancaster at Humphrey Tiger Stadium.

Seguin moved to 4-2, 2-1 in District 15-4A, while Lancaster fell to 2-4, 1-2.

Lancaster had taken a 42-40 lead when Tim Taylor sprinted 80 yards for a touchdown about five minutes earlier. It was his second touchdown of the game.

Seguin led by 12 points in the fourth quarter before Lancaster scored twice to take the lead.

Moore led Seguin with 254 rushing yards, 175 passing yards and four touchdowns.

The teams alternated touchdowns in the first half. Gary Jolivet gave Seguin a 27-21 halftime lead with a 23-yard touchdown catch from Moore with 1:55 left in the second quarter. Jolivet also ran in a score in the second quarter.

Moore ran in two touchdowns in the first quarter and had 172 rushing yards before halftime.

Moore also had an interception late in the second quarter.

Taylor led the Lancaster offense in the first half with an 85-yard touchdown run that put Lancaster ahead, 21-20. He finished the game with 165 rushing yards.
