Legacy golf preps for Oct. and Nov meets

The Legacy golfers will play Oct. 25-26 at Marble Falls near Austin when they next tee it up.

The following week, Legacy will be hosting their own meet, Nov. 1-2, with the girls playing at Mansfield National and the boys taking to Tangle Ridge in Grand Prairie.

Mansfield tennis picks up district win

The Mansfield tennis team beat Grand Prairie on Friday in a 19-0 blanking.

Their lone loss in district was to Duncanville, 13-6 last Tuesday. They’ll be in action this week against Cedar Hill (on Tuesday) and DeSoto on Friday.

Timberview defense holding points low

The Timberview Wolves football team circled one of many reasons they’ve boosted their record to 5-0. The defense has limited opponents to just 8.2 points per game, following their 27-0 shutout of Mansfield on Friday.

They’ll have their hands full this week against DeSoto, a team which scores an average of 39.6 points per game.

Legacy remains unbeaten

The Broncos are also 5-0, 2-0 after a 49-35 win over Red Oak. The track meet included 748 total yards of offense by both teams.

Each team scored at least once in each quarter with the exception of Red Oak’s first quarter. Legacy travels to Waxahachie this Friday.
