North Texans started the week with a little chill in the air.

While the official low at DFW Airport was 52 degrees, some parts of Tarrant County saw it drop into the 40s Monday morning. Alliance Airport in far north Fort Worth and Arlington Municipal Airport recorded lows of 45 degrees while Fort Worth Meacham Airport dropped to 49.

While Monday’s high will be in the upper 70s, temperatures will gradually climb this week, getting back to the mid-80s by Thursday and Friday.

The next chance for rain will arrive on Saturday when another cold front moves into the area.

“It’s going to be a nice quiet week with a gradual warmup but it’s probably a little early to say how much rain we will see this weekend,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Eric Martello. “Right now, we got one model that says we’re going to be a little wetter while another model say we’ll be a little drier.”
