Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning: He completed 33 of 42 passes for 414 yards and four touchdowns, with three in the first half, and ran for another. He was intercepted once and finished with a 129.6 passer rating.

Broncos receivers: Tight end Julius Thomas and wide receivers Eric Decker, Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker. The quartet caught 24 passes for 315 yards and four touchdowns. Julius Thomas had nine for 122 yards and two TDs.

Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan: The game’s hero. Trevathan read a seam route by Dallas rookie Gavin Escobar and intercepted the pass with 1:57 left that set up Matt Prater’s game-winning field goal.

Broncos kicker Matt Prater: He made field goals of 48 and 50 yards and the game-winning 28-yarder on the final play.

Cowboys receivers: Tight end Jason Witten and wide receivers Dez Bryant, rookie Terrence Williams and Cole Beasley. The group accounted for 21 receptions and five touchdowns. Williams had 151 yards. Witten had seven catches. Bryant had two touchdowns. Beasley had a touchdown.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo: He set a club record with 506 passing yards with five touchdowns and a passer rating of 140 but ended the day with one critical interception.
