A Weatherford photographer, released from jail on bail earlier this week after being accused of indecency with a 16-year-old girl, was back behind bars on Friday.

“When Dax Morgan posted bail and was released from the Parker County Jail, he immediately made contact with a 15-year-old female,” Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said in a news release.

That violated the terms of his release, Fowler said.

Morgan, 39, was first arrested Tuesday after the parents of a 16-year-old girl called authorities. He gave a massage to the girl and took “risque” photos of her, according to a probable-cause affidavit. He faces a charge of indecency with a child/sexual contact.

Jail records show he was released at 6:13 p.m. Tuesday on $25,000 bail, provided he avoid contact with children under age 17 unrelated to him — including phone calls, e-mails, social media or text messaging.

When officials learned he didn’t stick to the agreement, Fowler said, investigators obtained an arrest warrant, which was served Friday afternoon.

The news release did not elaborate on the contact between Morgan and the 15-year-old girl. Sheriff’s Deputy Danie Huffman, a spokeswoman for the department, declined to give more information, saying the investigation was continuing.

Morgan remained in jail Friday night, awaiting a hearing before a judge.
