CLEBURNE — Cleburne dominated the Joshua Owls 52-0 as the Yellow Jackets won their fourth game in a row.
Cleburne’s defense continued its dominant ways, holding the Owls (0-5, 0-2 District 8-4A) to 100 total yards of offense.
Cleburne’s offense, meanwhile, took advantage of short field position several times, and sophomore quarterback Brian Baca was 24 for 36 for 312 yards and four touchdowns.
The Jackets (4-1, 2-0) received the opening kick and needed only three plays, scoring when Baca connected with Johnny Juarez for a 36-yard touchdown pass on a receiver screen, and the rout was on.
Baca added touchdown passes of 3, 9 and 24 yards to Kameron Pickett, Reggie Robinson II and Andre Griggs, respectively.
Cleburne junior defensive tackle Tevin Boone added a score when he ran in from 4 yards to put the Jackets up 38-0 late in the third quarter.
Joshua completed 5 of 17 pass attempts and ran the ball 30 times for 30 yards.
