With 5,206 votes, Everman running back Kierre Crossley is the Player of the Week for Sept. 26-28. Justin Northwest defensive tackle Joe Gonzales placed second with 4,233 votes. A total of 10,247 votes were cast.

There were many great high school football peformances for the fourth week of September. Here’s your chance to tell us who has earned dfwVarsity Player of the Week honors. Voting ends at noon Wednesday.

Ervin Hill, QB, Sam Houston ran for five touchdowns and threw three more in a 61-51 defeat of Fort Worth Paschal. Hill rushed for 257 yards on 17 carries, with scoring runs of 64, 9, 26, 80 and 5yards. The junior also passed for 206 yards with touchdowns of 55, 24 and 48 yards.

Joe Gonzales, DT, Justin Northwest recorded 9 tackles, including 3 for loss, and 1 sack as the Texans improved to 4-0 with a 31-17 defeat of previously unbeaten Keller.

Kierre Crossley, RB, Everman rushed for 272 yards and five touchdowns, including a 6-yard run on fourth down with 1:33 left in the Bulldogs’ 41-38 victory over Burleson.

Everett Williams, LB, Mansfield Legacy recovered two fumbles for touchdowns, and in the fourth quarter made fourth-down tackle that helped secure a 44-30 victory against Lancaster.

Hayden Davidson, LB/WR, Richland in last week’s game against Keller Fossil Ridge, recorded 11 tackles, made a sack for a safety, recorded an interception and broke up pass. He also caught a 60-yard touchdown pass.

Jordan Hester , RB, Mansfield Summit rushed for 159 yards on 14 carries, with one touchdown, caught 2 passes for 20 yards, and returned two kickoffs for 72 yards, with a long of 57, in the Jaguars 38-34 defeat of Waxahachie.
