A 17-year-old disabled boy died Sunday afternoon after he was pulled out of residential swimming pool at his home, authorities said.

The teen identified as Kirk Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Sunday night.

MedStar and firefighters received a call of a possible drowning shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of Wabash Avenue.

His parents were home and his father was administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation when crews arrived, fire Lt. Carol Jones said Sunday.

Paramedics continued to administer CPR on the teen, but he later died.

Jones said she didn’t know how long the teen had been underwater before he was pulled out.

Fire officials did not provide any other details on how the teen ended up in the pool.
