Can you take off this Friday to play a round of golf?

What if I told you that by doing so, you would make a huge difference in the lives of many of the individuals in our community who are quadriplegics, paraplegics, stroke victims or amputees or who suffer from multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy or Guillain–Barré syndrome?

The Neuro Fitness Foundation is hosting its annual John Nichols Memorial Golf Tournament Sept. 27 at the Bear Creek Golf Club at 3500 Bear Creek Court in Dallas. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Named for the late founder, this event benefits the Neuro Fitness Gym, which make a huge difference in the lives of those who face great physical challenges every day, as well as their families.

After insurance has run out, the Neuro Fitness Gym is there to provide a place for therapy and friendship.

I have heard that there are still a few spots for teams at $500 and individuals at $125, which includes breakfast and lunch.

Additionally, this group has put together a silent auction along with awards, drawings, prizes for first place, longest drive, closest to the pin, random drawings and the always desired “swag bag” given to each participant.

Registration can be done up to the last minute. Go to the Neuro Fitness Foundation’s website, www.neurofitnessfoundation.com, and click on “Click Here To Register” under the words “Play Golf” in the red box.
