A toddler who died after being pulled from a Keller swimming pool during the weekend has been identified as Jaylen Garner of Burleson, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday.

Jaylen died at 7:11 p.m. Saturday in the emergency room at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, officials reported. A ruling on his death is pending test results, according to the medical examiner’s website.

Emergency crews responded to a call of a drowning Saturday afternoon at a house in the 2400 block of Poplar Court.

Police said people were outside at the time the child went into the water, but some were watching television.

Authorities had not released any information on how long Jaylen was in the water before he was pulled out.
