A man showed up at a hospital Tuesday morning with a gunshot wound that he had suffered hours earlier near a White Settlement bar, police said.

The 29-year-old man, whom police did not identify, arrived shortly after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the emergency room at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth, 1400 8th Ave.

The man told hospital officials and police that he was shot about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

“He told officers he had gotten into a fight at the bar and was shot,” said police Officer Sharron Neal on Tuesday.

No information was released about a reason for the time lag between the shooting and the victim going to the hospital.

“We’re not getting much information from him,” Neal said.

The victim survived the shooting, police said.
