Star-Telegram employees were among the people startled Monday night to see a house pass by their office doors.

The house, built by Habitat for Humanity volunteers in Sundance Square last week, was escorted by police officers to its permanent site on Sandage Avenue in south Fort Worth.

It was the fifth year in a row for XTO employees to “blitz build” a Habitat home in downtown Fort Worth, according to a Habitat news release.

The new owner is the single mother of three children.
