Congratulations to Jacob Sisk of Colleyville Heritage, who was voted Player of the Week with 2,518 votes. More than 6,200 votes were cast.

Voting for the Sept. 19-21 Player of the Week begins Monday.

There were many great performances in high school football in the second week of September. Here’s your chance to tell us who has earned Player of the Week honors. Voting ended at noon Wednesday.

Saginaw Boswell RB Antoine Stevenson rushed for 121 yards and scored the decisive touchdown as the Pioneers upset Birdville. The win snapped a 13-game regular-season win streak by the Hawks.

Mansfield RB Julius Lewis rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns -- 44, 8 and 62 yards -- to lead the Tigers past Mansfield Summit. 42-23.

Burleson QB Isaiah Hall passed for 161 yards and two scores, and rushed for 149 yards as the Elks snapped a 13-game losing streak by beating Weatherford, 42-28.

Granbury K Jacob Rose made a 22-yard field goal with five seconds left to give the Pirates a 44-41 win against Mansfield Lake Ridge.

Southlake Carroll LB J.B. Copeland recorded six solo tackles, nine assists, two sacks, one interception and forced one fumble as the Dragons beat Temple, 38-7.

Justin Northwest DT Joe Gonzales recorded eight solo tackles, four assists, one tackle for loss and one sack in a 21-16 win at Midlothian.

Colleyville Heritage DB/WR Jacob Sisk recorded five tackles, an interception, returned a punt 80 yards for a touchdown, and also had a receiving touchdown and rushing touchdown in the Panthers’ 45-7 defeat of Flower Mound.
