Two runs by Dennis Adrole netted 35 yards, then Jesse Drummer hit Jordan Muldrow with a 7-yard scoring pass to cut the lead to 10-7 with 5:37 left in the first quarter.
On the Panthers’ next possession, starting quarterback Jimmy Fouse left with an injury and Midlothian (2-1) struggled to move the ball until midway through the third quarter.
With 7:22 left in the half, Northwest took the lead when Moore hauled in a punt at the Midlothian 49 and weaved his way through the defense for a 14-10 lead.
