The Cleburne defense held Azle’s offense to 212 yards, and Kameron Pickett had 13 receptions for 159 yards and scored on a punt return to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 34-14 victory Friday night.

The Jackets also forced Azle’s first two turnovers of the season, the first of which came on a punt and set up Cleburne (2-1) for the first score of the night, a 2-yard touchdown run by Darion McCullough midway through the first quarter.

Azle (2-1) tried to come back after a 1-yard TD run by Sean Townsend midway through the third quarter, but Cleburne went up by two scores again on a 6-yard run by McCullough early in the fourth.
