Police are investigating the slaying of a 51-year-old man found dead inside his east Fort Worth home Saturday.

A concerned relative discovered the body of Tommy Brown about 3 p.m. Saturday after going to the man’s home in the 2400 block of Rattikin Road to check on him, according to homicide Sgt. Cheryl Johnson.

Brown’s body was found in a bathroom of the residence. An autopsy determined he had died from asphyxia and blunt force injuries, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Johnson declined to comment on whether items were missing from the home, where Brown had lived alone. She said no arrests have been made in the case but the investigation is continuing.
