SAGINAW — Justice Ogueri scored four touchdowns and gained 126 yards rushing on 26 carries as Carrollton Creekview raced past Saginaw for a 50-19 win at Rough Riders Stadium on Friday night.
The scoring came at a furious pace in the game’s opening minute. The Rough Riders’ Jaylen King returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown. Creekview (2-0) answered when Jamal Jones ran back the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown to tie the score at 7-7.
Ogueri had touchdowns of 70 and 39 yards in the first quarter, but Saginaw (0-2), behind two touchdown runs from King, led 19-14 after one quarter.
But an Ogueri 40-yard touchdown run, a 2-point conversion and a 8-yard touchdown pass from David Blough to Griffin Lazor put Creekview up 29-19 at halftime.
Ogueri added two more touchdowns in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
