KELLER — Quarterback Jacob Gnacinski threw for 381 yards and six touchdowns to lead Keller Fossil Ridge past Dallas Jesuit 63-19 on Friday.
Gnacinski feasted on the long pass, completing 10 passes for more than 20 yards each. He completed 15 of 19 passes in the first half for 311 yards.
Jesuit (0-2) got on the board first with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Bo Schneider to Will Carney early in the first quarter.
But Fossil Ridge (2-0) responded with a three-play scoring drive, capped by Gnacinski’s 29-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Parker to tie the game. The Panthers added two more touchdowns and took a 21-13 lead going into the second quarter.
Fossil Ridge then scored five times in the second quarter, giving the Panthers touchdowns in all eight of its first-half possessions. Gnacinski threw touchdowns in four of those second-quarter scores.
Receiver Niron Fields scored three touchdowns for Fossil Ridge.
