They say that the way to someone heart is through their stomach.

That’s why the Weatherford Star-Telegram is calling on all non-profit organizations in Parker County, who have cookbooks they have been selling to promote their cause, to submit one to us.

For the next few weeks, we will be gathering these culinary masterpieces and beginning Oct. 2 will feature a cookbook each week in the newspaper. “Chefs” in the newsroom will select a recipe, cook a dish from the book and review it to promote your organizations. The Weatherford Star-Telegram will continue publishing their findings through Thanksgiving and up to Dec. 18, the week before Christmas.

So, the mission is two-fold. It is our desire to not only promote your cookbook and organization but to also give readers several tasty options to prepare for family members and guest throughout the holiday season.

Feel free to mail your book to the Weatherford Star-Telegram, c/o Lance Winter, at 112 S. Main St., Weatherford, Texas, 76086 or simply bring one by the office.

Cookbooks will become the property of the Weatherford Star-Telegram.

Lance Winter, 817-594-9902, Ext. 102
