A 45-year-old man was in custody Sunday accused of attacking a woman in her home Friday morning on Ellison Avenue then taking property and stealing her vehicle, police said Sunday.

Police had not released the identity of the suspect or when he was arrested.

The home invasion was reported shortly before 10 a.m. Friday in the 6200 block of Ellison Avenue.

A woman told police that a man entered her home, attacked her and then took her property. He left the residence and stole her vehicle, the woman said.

The woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman’s vehicle was later found abandoned in the 5300 block of East Belknap Street. Some property stolen from the woman’s home was located in the 2200 block of Eden Drive.

The suspect was in the North Richland Hills Jail on Sunday, facing several charges, authorities said.
