La’Quarrian Peoples connected with DeVonta Kinney for a 20-yard touchdown pass with three seconds left to lift Fort Worth Dunbar over Dallas Lincoln 20-17 on Friday night at Clark Stadium.
The response came from the Wildcats after the Tigers had pushed into the lead with under a minute to play. Peoples finished with 132 yards through the air on 14 completions and three touchdowns.
Dunbar started its winning drive on its own 48 and converted on a fourth-and-1 to keep its hopes alive.
A trio of Wildcats accounted for the six catches. Wesley Roberts finished with 34 receiving yards, Kinney with 50, and Stepfawn Hughes with 48. Dunbar had 239 yards of offense.
Trevon Donnell of Lincoln finished 14 for 29 with 257 yards through the air. Javien Jones had seven catches for 154 yards. Lincoln had 379 yards of offense.
