With thousands of people expected to attend this week’s MegaFest 2013 in Dallas — a three-day family festival hosted by pastor T.D. Jakes — the Trinity Railway Express will be adding extra cars and service to help with the crowds.

The conference, which will be Thursday through Saturday at the Dallas Convention Center and American Airlines Center, combines four of Jakes’ most popular conferences into one setting. ManPower, Woman Thou Art Loosed, MegaYouth and MegaKidz is expected to draw more than 100,000 participants over the three days.

Also on Thursday, Jakes is hosting Oprah Winfrey and her Oprah’s Lifeclass television show at the American Airlines Center. Shows, which will be taped and shown at a later date on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), will be at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and will focus on the importance of family.

“MegaFest is about coming together to strengthen each other and our families, and leaving refreshed and ready to help our communities,” Jakes said in a news release. “There’s no better way to get inspired than by having fun, creating memories and laughing together.”

To help deal with the large crowds attending the conference from Tarrant County, the TRE, which provides weekday and Saturday service to Dallas, will add train cars and provide special service. For example, a special train will depart from Union Station at 12:30 a.m. Thursday and Friday (12:35 a.m. from Victory Station) and arrive at the Fort Worth T&P Station at 1:30 a.m.

Special TRE service will also be provided between Victory and Union stations in Dallas each day, and DART will provide two dozen shuttle buses to transport festgoers to and from the American Airlines Center to the Dallas Convention Center.
