BEDFORD — Ball security was a bit of an issue when Euless Trinity scrimmaged Dallas Carter on Saturday morning at Pennington Field.
Fumbles, after a 16-yard pass in the flat and near the goal-line, were particularly bothersome to Trojans coach Steve Lineweaver.
We got hit, maybe to the point where theyll listen to old Lineweaver about carrying that ball properly, the coach said. Things like that, we needed that.
Running backs Kenneth Gonzales and JaRon Wilson did move chains a time or two. Quarterback Deion Guignard also had a 26-yard gain. On defense, linebacker Inoke Ngalo and tackle Hafoka Olie each delivered crowd-pleasing hits.
Carter gave us some good looks, particularly with their underneath passes for our linebackers, Lineweaver added.
