Dressing for God

As I see it, God made the Sabbath a special day, and we should observe it as such.

In dressing for services, we want to demonstrate to God that this day is different from all others and should be treated as such. By changing your attire, you are telling God, other people and yourself that this day is very special.

But modesty should be taken into consideration at all times. That’s just plain common sense. And shorts do not have a place in services unless outside considerations warrant it.
