Anti-citizen shifts

Why does pro-business have to be so anti-citizen? On every level of government, we get stealth policies by the GOP that infringe on rights of ordinary citizens.

We learn that Greg Abbott receives a lawsuit settlement that today would be tort-reformed into the category of “frivolous” and be thrown out. A city haggles over the pensions of paraplegic officers. Perry, under the influence of secret lobbying, vetoes court access for wage disputes. Businesses create runoff that erodes neighborhoods. Medicare and Social Security help people too much.

Regulations that protect air and water are too expensive. Businesses are protected from paying their employees a living wage. Voter ID and gerrymandering say “shush” to the voices of people.

When a tree falls, it should make a lot of noise. Americans should not be quiet about GOP policies to silence us.
