Fort Worth’s David Bergin hit into a double play with the bases loaded in the ninth inning and Edinburg held on for a 3-0 victory in Game 2 of the ULB Championship Series, now tied at 1-1, at LaGrave Field on Friday night.

Down 3-0 going into the ninth, the Cats threatened when Daniel Meeley walked. After a strikeout, Cameron Monger and Cody Bishop had back-to-back singles to load the bases.

But Bergin’s sharply hit grounder to third ended the threat.

Tim Battle and Carlton Salter hit solo home runs for Edinburg.

The Cats’ first hit was Luany Sanchez’s single in the sixth.

Game 3 of the best-of-five series at LaGrave Field is at 7:05 tonight.
