A North Richland Hills man was sentenced Friday to 6 1/2 years in prison for possession of child pornography, federal officials said.

Kenneth David Greer, 42, was originally stopped by Bedford police “when he ran a stop sign” in January, according to a news release from the U.S. attorney’s office.

Officers learned that Greer was driving without a license. Officers searched him and found “a flash drive in his pants pocket that was found to contain numerous images and videos of child pornography,” the news release said.

In March, Greer pleaded guilty to one charge of possession of child pornography.
