Big sixth inning sends Cats to victory

The Fort Worth Cats doubled their fun Saturday night, piecing together three doubles in a three-run sixth inning on the way to a 5-2 victory over San Angelo.

Cole Stephens, meanwhile, held the Colts to five hits and two runs in 7 2/3 innings. He walked one and struck out one.

Trevor Longfellow pitched 11/3 innings of hitless relief.

David Bergin began the sixth inning with a double. Chris Ellison walked, then Greg Bachman had an RBI double and Luaney Sanchez hit a two-run double as Fort Worth grabbed a 4-0 lead.

Cameron Monger had an RBI single in the third.

Bergin and Bachman each had two hits and an RBI. Bachman had a run-scoring single in the ninth.

Ryan Hutson had a two-run home run for the Colts in the seventh.
